Default Gear check

Okay, I would like some opinions on some riding gear. Because it is hotter than a jabanero down here for most of the year it has gotta be cool enough, but I don't know what materials are sacrificing too much protection for cooling. Also, the versatility of just peeling off the top layers are a need since I use my bike as a commuter.

I found something on JC Whitney what do you guys think?

also the jacket:

I think if it is water proof it will not allow for much air flow even if it says it will.

If rain is not an issue for you try perforated leather. I have pants and jacket and ride in 90+ and it is good. Gets hot when you stop though.

I would not recommend polyester as the best protection either. The perforated leathers seem to be the best when it comes to the heat and protection.

I wear the icon merc hero leather jacket. certain parts of it are perforated, and some other parts are fabric. Living in nebraska, the heat and humidity gets horrible here. this jacket does get somewhat warm, but only if you're stopped on your bike in traffic. You may think about getting a light color not to absorb heat, and maybe an all fabric jacket to breathe better. I have no idea if fabric makes a huge difference in temprature since I've never owned fabric, but it may be the way to go.

still think leather is the safest choice.

Apparently I am the odd ball w/ a textile jacket, but that seems to be what you are looking at based on the gear? My joe rocket Ballistic Jacket has vents in the arms and on the back, and has a similar to the look of what you have pictured. It is water proof too. I have worn my jacket in 98F w/ 90% humdity, and it wasnt to bad. ( Honestly, w/ that temp, nothing your wearing is going to feel cool, but it wasnt bad at all when moving)
