The Freedom Of Riding

The Freedom Of Riding
Hey guys. You must not know me well cause Ive been lurking for the past two years and may have finally gotten a bike (Ninja 250). I made the deal and everything just waiting for the guy to get the title from Albany (which should be in the next couple of days).
I just wanted to say that for the first time today I realised for myself the freedom of riding.
Today was very eventfull to say the least and I have had alot of downs recently. I started to think that I may never reach the end of the tunnel. I decided since I hadnt ridin my klx110 in a while I might as well take it for a spin. I found myself almost immediately forgetting everything that bothered me and all my attention went to riding. Just the enjoyment that while I was on the bike nothing else mattered. I dont know if this is the same for other people but today was the first day that I actually realised that my bike was an escape. The same thing a vacation would seem like to someone else. I hope I didnt sound too corny but im just re-introducing myself because you might be seeing alot of me if I get that bike. And if not ill still be lurking

RE: The Freedom Of Riding
Fan700, you're certainly not alone in the "downs" department. I think all of us have those ebbs in life where things just plain suck. And, yes, riding has ALWAYS been the tonic to put perspective back into it. Kinda like a good workout; riding causes the brain to kick into the endorphin mode just like Dragone alludes to. Glad to hear you have that opportunity now. No need to lurk anymore; we're glad to have you aboard.

RE: The Freedom Of Riding
it is a time to get away from some things, like the wife going to the hair salon or get her nails done, time away from the kids and the daily racket.
hope you get the bike and when you do have fun and be safe
