ordered my rainsuit yesterday. i'm hoping the reviews about the bidgstone batlax being good in the wet are true because i don't like losing traction. unless its intentional.

KIA, I like using both front and rear braking methods in the rain. Hurry up and get those carbs sorted out.

It's better to use the front and rear brakes together. Even in the rain, more of your stopping power comes from the front than the rear.

The key thing to remember when riding in the rain is slow down -if people around you don't like it tough. It's your a$$ on the line, not theirs. Also remember to slow down when it's raining. And, finally, the best thing to do in order to ride safely in the rain is slow down. Did I mention to ride slower when you ride in the rain?

Good job saving the skid. Mark everything down as a learning experience.

Slow is definatly key to safe wet rideing, but I would also try not to downshift to stop either. I watched my budy go down last week doing that.

getting good at riding int he rain should actually make you better at riding in the dry

teknic -- i was pining over a few others but decided to start with a low end suit to get a feet for what i wanted before spending 60$ on a rainsuit that i was going to try to avoid using.
