First time on wet roads
I just got my77 kz750 on the road and this morning at working it was raining pretty hard and by the time i was done work it had stopped but the road were soaked and ive never drivin on wet roads on a street bike before. everything was ok i took it easy and i was surprise how dry i stayed only a little splash if i hit a puddle. but as soon as i got into town where traffic was a lil heavier it was NOT as fun. i had a guy in a pickup take up the whole lane even though he was turning left and almost stopped so i down shifted and i was still going a little to fast so i tapped the rear brake and skidded a bit and slid a bit and stalled the motor but stayed on two wheels. I coasted into a parking lot started my bike again and continued on my way a lil more aware but still gettinglucky again i'm cruzin about 45km/h and light goes yellow so hit rear brake tiny skid and stalled out again (for some reason i dont use front brake to much at all cuz more concerned about keeping motor revving since it doesn't like idling....needs carbs tuned) i started back up and light turned green i took off hit second gear and opened the throttle up a little quick spinning the rear tire with a very small fish tail felt pretty kool thank god i didn't panic and wipe her out but in the end made it home but gonna get carbs fixed so i don't have to try and rev motor as i'm trying to slow down with front brake. i'm glad i have pretty good balance and messed around on dirt bikes alot or else i prolly wouldvepanic'd andlayed the bike down the first time i locked the rear wheel up

yeah i know ive dumped it the first day i got it going like 4-7km/h turning right and pulled front braked on gravel at like 11:30 at night but didnt do much damage since the bike has been dumped on the same side before i got it...............note to self shorts not a good thing to wear if u dump your bike even on gravel i didnt even own a helmet yet either..................bad me...bad.i just scraped up my knee up a bit and it was sore the next day but everyone dumps there bike at least once and i glad i did it the first day in my driveway...lol

glad your ok there KIA , you'll find that every time you go out on the bike it can be a learning experience .Just take it easy in the wet stuff and stay in your comfort zone .

This might sound likeB.S.but it's true. Get into the habit of braking and using the throttle/clutch smoothly. You will find that rain or no rainyou will not need to adjust your riding habits.
Disclaimer: If an idiot in a cage does something stupid around youand makes youhit the breaks hard, you drive into water where you can't see the road orgo to faster than you would on a dry road thenall bets are off. In a short timerain will beannoying rather than an adventure
Good luck!
