Drifters Invade Nashville!
OK, so yesterday was fun! Too much fun! It ended way too soon!
A few Drifter riders, along with another new friend, met up in Nashville, Indiana for the first time. A great time was had by all!
I would have loved to have had more time. A stop in Story would have been high on my list. It's a cool little town and there were about 50 horseback riders in town when we passed through. Unfortunately, I had to keep moving, and the rest of our group opted to stick with me on into Nashville, Indiana instead of stopping.
We met up in the morning in downtown Nashvillle (the booming metropolis that it is......small town USA) and decided to head into town to check out the shops. Nashville is kind of a local tourist trap type place. They have every kind of shop you can think of, including several biker type leather shops. It was those that we targeted! Being the end of the season, they're looking to unload their merchandise. Deep price cuts were the order of the day. Several of us did quite well.
After that, hunger was beginning to make itself known, so we headed to one of the best resturants in town. Once our hunger was satisfied, it was time to ride!
We headed out and rode through some of Indiana's most beautiful countryside. It's not all corn in Indiana ya know! Soutthern Indiana is covered with hills and pristine forests, mixed with a few small farms nestled in the valley's. We traveled through parts of Yellowood State Forest and the Hoosier National Park. I'll tell ya, sometimes it was hard to stay focused on the twisting, undulating tarmac with all those beautiful sights to see!
Anyways, enough of me yaking........how about a few pic's? And if you were there, feel free to add your pic's too!
Meeting up!
