Does every biker have a crash ???

RE: Does every biker have a crash ???
A tumble is darn near inevitable in this 2 wheel world! All we can do is be on the look out for the inevitable and gear up for it. By all means have fun and enjoy but just be careful. Whatever will be will be!

RE: Does every biker have a crash ???
I have been riding since the end of 2002 and "knock on wood" I have not been down. But I always wear my gear cause I know my time will come. I have had a few close calls where I probably should have high sided but I managed to hold unto the bike. I am actually amazed that I have never been down I ride 90% of the time and I drag race. But I have heard enough stories to keep me a fully aware rider and always, always wear gear.

Dang it Dragone. That was a perfectly good leather before you hurt it....lol
Saying you will never dump your sled is like saying you will never get in a car crash...You might not, but chances are good you will at some point or another. Be aware of your surroundings at all times, dress for the crash and not the ride, and drive for everyone else also. After a while, driving defensivley, it all seems to be second nature. Gear up, and enjoy the 2 wheels.

lol, would have to agree with having good leather BR. The right side shoulder was layed open on a fall at around 90mph or so in 1992(think it was), had a small cherry on the shoulder after that one. A low speed low slide that caused me to replace the elbow leather on the left later on. Getting time for some new leathers for sure. But 17yrs of wear, was just pointing out that they have saved my hide a few times. Total cost after repairs = $91.76/yr.

I am really new to riding and have never ridden a performance bike,my first and only bike is an older kz650. But i think just because you go out and buy a bike that will do 0-60 in like two seconds doesn't mean that you have to test that and cant just take it slow and steady on a strong bike. Unfortunately, Im surethere are a lot of people out there that will think "if the bike can do it, I can do it".
