Default Deer Hunting with a Ninja 250

Ohhh Boooy!!! I went deer hunting with a 2009 Ninja 250 and damn glad I missed. I was exiting the apex of a 90 degree turn and there was huge doe in my lane of travel. I grabbed the front break firmly and then started on the back break. The real tire started squealing which made the deer run abck into the woods. At that point all was clear and I let off the brakes. I was going 45 miles and hour out a turn. Needless to say my seat has an *** bite mark.

Lesson Learned: I am glad I listened to all those people who told me to take the MSF course and practice panic stops in abandon parking lots. Im also glad I did not panic, or freeze up.

By the way, how the hell is everyone it has been a while. Been to busy riding instead of typing.

I've had a close call or two. Where I live deer are just a part of living. Last time I had a close call I was coming around a corner and saw him mid-jump for the guard rail. I was able to put on my brakes and ease the bike in a line of travel that wouldn't hit him. But it was close. If I didn't have gloves on I would have felt his hot breath on my hand..

He was just as scared as me, though. He went jumping back over that guard rail tripping over himself. Gets your heart pumping, that's for sure. But keep a cool head!

I remember coming up around a corner while in Melbourne and came across a roo just standing in the middle of the road...i stopped and rolled down the window to say hey and it just stuck its head in the car for a second and then just stayed there in the middle of the road...

Working my a-- off, keeping the bills paid and taking care of the family. Been riding a lot to work and just around town. I may be ready for another bike next year. Been looking at the Ninja 650 and the ERN 650. Looks like the gang is still here, good to text with you all again.
