Any one going to DAYTONA BIKE WEEK?and if you have been any DO'S and DONT'S for me to consider when planning my trip , coming down from the north Niagara Falls thought aboutstaying outside Daytonadriving in a couple of days , cruising the 1A1 , going over to the Gulf coast for a ride, basicly just cruising the State.

I think my buddy is planning to race this year. He won the 40+ class this past season. (He's pretty da** good.) I MAY go down. I'll keep you all posted with my plans. If I go, I'll do my best to get you guys some pit passes.

 

That actually sounds like an awesome idea. I would love to goto bike week. Never taken a long trip on my bike and I'd totally want to go with some other people. Post some more details about when you'd be going, hotel, etc.. Perhaps we could get a group and all meet up on the way and cruise there.

 

He'll be taking his trailer with his bikes and gear, so we wouldn't be "riding" down. If you're staying in a motel/hotel, you'd better start making reservations now. Daytona tends to get booked-up pretty fast. However, we've stayed in a nearby city and ridden the highway to get there in the morning, which isn't too terrible. I'll get more details from him.
If you're planing on riding down, remember, the weather in the Ohio/PA/NY area is usually pretty rough. It's a looong ride.
Daytona, however, is a blast. Just make sure you theft-proof your bike as much as possible, and bring some rain gear, because occasional cold-a$$ storms blow in. (see an earlier post.)

Oh yea! A few of us are going down from PA. But taking a trailer because of unpredictable weater. Have to have spare parts, tools ect. It will much be like a chase truck. One guy driving the other two tearing up the asphat! To early for all the deatils.....just want to see *****.....lots of *****.
