crazy thing happened to my friends 250
I have a friend who just picked up a brand new off the showroom floor 2007 EX250. She goes to Hawaii for a job and her husband loaded the 250 into his truck to have the seat shaved before she got back as a surprise.
The 250 has no miles on it.
Anyways he used a canyon dancer and tiedowns like I and everyone I know uses.
He is driving along and notices the bike is leaning...okay so he stops adjusts the straps continues driving along and cannot believe this but the bike is leaning so badly now it fell over in the truck...he thinks the straps were faulty so instead of continuing to get the seat shaved he runs over to friends of ours that works on bikes.
When he gets there they realize it is not the straps...the 250's handlebar snapped at the weld.
So now Kawasaki is investigating this. But i have never heard of or seen this happen to anybody.
All I know is that it is a good thing it happened in the truck and not while my frined was riding it. Her first ride was going to be a trackday in a couple weeks. I do not even want to think of how bad that could have been for her.
This guy has been loading and unloading bikes in his truck for years so its not like he did anything out of the ordinary.

Wow!!! .......I didn't know you had any friends. buwahahahahaha sorry I couldn't resist. That totally sucks. Brand new bike? Glad she wasn't riding it for sure. That would have been hard to prove that it was Kawasaki's fault after a wreck.

well sucks that it happened but how fortuitous that it happened when it did.
