Speaking as an ex-cop, and having had many encounters with them as a civilian, Respect goes a LONG way. Stopping quickly helps too. The real secret is making them laugh. If you can make a cop laugh, you're not getting a ticket. Trust me.

And then it happens...I got stopped last night. State Trooper pulled up next to me while I was in a left turn lane waiting for a red light. He rolled down his window and told me to pull in the gas station on the corner. After I pulled in and got off the bike, he told me he clocked me at 72 in a 55. I was thinking awe damn...wife's gonna be pissed! After some BSing, he let me off with a written warning. While we were BSing, I made him laugh twice. Told you it works.

dunno if i told this one yet but i was in chester, a rich town with nothing but long gradgual roads in it... well im going down one... attempting to get home, and im doing ~75-80 in a 45 and then i see a huse line of cars and i think to myself "damn, whos the puss wtcuallt doin 45 on this nice *** road???? well the puss was a popo. after a few apologies and an explanation he tells me he had another call and needed to respond to it, and that i should go. so as i leave he sits there, and a mile or so down the road i look in the rearview and hes still sitting there on the side of the road. pretty cool guy.

and then just 3 days ago i was on my way to a friends party and i was a bit late... so i come up to a yeller and think "hell i can make that..." so i boot it up to 60 (45zone) and about 4 car leginths b4 the intersection the light goes red, the catch... the only car in the left turn lane was a cop[&o]. she pulls me over and asks why she pulled me over. i tell her because i belw the red. she writes me a warning and tells me to be a bit more careful.

i seem to have pretty good luck with the popo

Nice work! The other little known fact is that MANY cops have bikes. That helps a little because they know damn well what they do when they're not on duty.

btw, i know the cops through school and socialising... not being in trouble. well, all but 2[sm=devilgrin.gif]
