Hey everyone, long time no talk. Been busy w/ life. Put about 2300 miles on the 250 this summer . Anyway I was wondering if anyone has experience with carbon fiber. My boyfriend just bought a carbon fiber Akrapovic exhaust for his bike. There is a small patch on the top side of the top side where the carbon fiber is not fully covered by resin. He was going to just send the pipe back for a replacement, however, they are sold out. The pipe has just came out, most places havent even gotten any yet. And because Akrapovic is made in Europe which shuts down for 2 months in the summer, it would be at least that long before he could get a new pipe. ( we live in NY so riding season would be over).
Is there any way to fix that spot? touch it up with resin?

you can patch it, but it will not look right. If Akra will even take it back since you messed with a patch/altered their product.

I wouldn't mess with it. You'll never get akrapovic to exchange it if you do.
