BRC/License
I plan to take the MSF course this month at a local community college, and I was wondering about something. If I take the course without my permit, which is allowed, can I just get my license from the DMV after passing the course? I'm not sure if I need my permit first, then get the license. If I have to that will be quite a pain and a waste of a few dollars. (I'm from Connecticut btw.) Thanks.

I guess I can help you do your homework. Here's what I found when I googled Connecticut motorcycle license....

hi there! i'm from Massachusetts, i think the rules are the same, you have to have your permit first, in order to get on the bike. i took the MSF course in MA and the permit was required before getting on the bike, it's a state regulation, IMO - go take the permit test, take the course then you automatically get your license if you pass the course.. i got a paper in the mail 4 days after i passed, so i have to go to the rmv and pickup my license!
