Highsiding over a high altitude freeway over pass and going over the side!

i cross a "scenic" bridge to and from work every day. it has a 1' shoulder, one lane each way and nothing but a yellow line between you and lots of heavy traffic going 60mph. it ocassionally has REALLY strong cross winds and there are also ocassional accidents with oncoming traffic and rearenders when traffic gets dense.
high siding or getting hit and tossed off the bridge high enough that landing on water is the same as concrete is a little fear of mine.

197 + barbed wire= bad day...
i almost low sided in a corner on fresh pavement on my first bike (a suzuki savage!!) at like 75 mph on the PA turnpike. if i would have gone down, i woulda ended up under the tandems of the 18 wheeler that was to the right of me.
lucky for me, i practiced my sliding alot, because i spent the first few months in B.F. on dirt roads honing the skills, and thus was accustomed to the read breaking loose and still beaing able to maintain control.
a 75 mph drift when you least expect it (on a cruiser) will cause your *** to pucker to a phenomenal degree.
but that gets back to maintaining control. i can't control the amount of drunks i pass or thatpull out in front of me with 20 yards to go and me closing fast, or critters, or supermodels on their sidekicks applying makeup whilst driving, but i can usually predict a bad thing and counteract or prepare for the worst. ya, i had a chick on the back once on the 7-fiddy, and i hit a possum on a night ride, but i never came close to loosing control. was kinda like hitting a furry speedbump. i have had COUNTLESS encounters that would have killed or maimed a lesser rider (not at all demeaning anyone, no one starts off as a good rider) but my experience has paid time and time again.
with time, you will be able to counter most of your fears that don't involve other living things.
so my only fear is other organisms around me. and dying a slow death if it comes to it. i wanna go with a quickness.

i'd generalize that to flying over the side of a highway overpass or tall bridge

I always bring my speed down to the minimum limit usually( testimant to me being a ***** about this) 55mph and I perk up with all my senses tuned way up for anything, either road debris or a stalled car anything!!!
