I would travel that road for a few weeks to see if I see that car again. Might be a daily commuter. Are there any cameras on the highway or possibly on buildings thatsurround that particular area? Might be a help. Good luck with the insurance aspect of it and heal up. Go get that foot checked out too.

Ouch, from the looks, you are again lucky that the front end was not taken out from under you.

So did the sliders actually do their job?? Did you scrape the guardrail or the car? What an azz to just keep going! I'm surprised he didn't sideswipe anyone else! Thank goodness for the good samaritan, but that buttmunch needs to be caught!!!!

JEBUS!!!!!!! All that damage from his car, he should have some pretty significant damage. I just still cannot believe nobody chased this Mother F****!!!! If I would have seen that I would have been calling 911 ASAP!!!! He coulda done some worse things to you and other people on the road! Man, I sure hope somebody gets him or he finds a conscience! Your bike is really beautiful, minus the damage, hope it won't hurt your pocket too much to repair her.

Dam bro those vortex let you down a little, still the damage is hardly anything if you did not have them you would be f-ed for sure. Get a standard derlin or nylon slider that is solid, no base. I think they are better. Some of that has to do with the size of the bolt as well, and on the KAW it is not that large.

Your underinsured motorist may not help you because the other party did not stop, underinsured only covers what the others insurance does not cover and since there is no other party involved on the claim to not have enough insurance you will probably get the goose egg.

Your collision will cover you and your bike; your rates should not increase because it was not your fault.

Thanks for the info NS... Sadly it confirms what I was afraid of. Living in So Cal and being a 21 year old male I can't afford collison on my bike since it brings the monthly payments for insurance close to 500 dollars a month. Having comprehensive already puts me at just over 200 a month so sadly it looks like I'll be digging deep in to the pockets to get my baby fixed. Atleast I know now though so I appreciate your input. My insurance company hasn't even called me back yet and I've already left them a voicemail and will call again tomorrow. For a company that prides themselves on fast response time and having a claims adjuster come out within 24 hours I must say Progressive has so far let me down. Considering this happened on Wednesday at 7:40AM I would like to hear from them so I can go ahead and start taking it apart and finding out the extent of the damage and start buying parts so I have a way to get to work. Looks like I'll be needing a rental car to get to work as is and that's 200 a week right there. So due to them taking so long to get back to me I may have to dig even deeper into my pockets. Time is money sadly.
