so i found an 04 zx6r for 3800 its got 6k on it and the guy says it could use new plastics

Not a bad deal. Need to look it over carefully if you decide to try to get it. With all the mods he listed, and the fact that it needs new plastics, look for any additional damage or signs of serious abuse. If you start waving around C-notes, he'll probably meet your price.

swap subframes and put 636 body work on the 500 - or make a custom one off deal if its got enough pep to keep you happy then just do some custom things to make it look nice.

its got pep but i'd like more..my friend has an fz6 and i'd like to keep up with him. is the 04 fuel injected? what about digi gauges? not to mention doing a whole swap like that would be more effort and money than i'd like..because for 300 more than what my bike will sell for i could get the zx6r instead of spending more money to redo body work
