A local dealer has a left over 2010 ZX10r that I am interested in and I want to figure out what a fair price is. They have it advertised as "$1500 off" at $11500. I think I can do better than that, although I'm not entirely sure. The guy said "we sell all our bikes at full price" which I think is a big load of crap, so I'm expecting some resistance to price negotiations, but I refuse to get screwed. What do you all think is a fair "out the door" price for a showroom new 2010 zx10r (black, if that matters...yeah its a sexy beast!)...I was thinking of offering him $10000 out the door and seeing how that went...
Any tips with haggling?
Also, this won't be my first bike although it's a big step up from my current bike (but when is a liter bike not a big step up, right?). I've done a track day and feel confident in my riding ability/maturity, so let's not turn it into a "thats too much bike for you" thread alright? TIA

What state are you located? Some dealerships do not like to budge on their prices, but cash does talk.
I would have to agree to that statement.
