I have a 2001 klr250 w/ 1100 miles-mint until it fell off the trailer and broke the guages-front rotor-tank-seat-switches, you get the idea. Kawasaki estimate to fix $4300-obviously not worth it. 2 questions-sounds like my insurance company wants to total this in the $1500 range and no way I could replace it in like condition for under 3k (if I could even find)-anybody have insurance experience in undervalueing a bike? I cant even find local comps and local retailer says they get them in trade and they last a day-hot item with current gas prices. One on ebay right now for 3k plus $700 shipping. #2 Is this worth buying back from insurance for $150 salvage? Engine, transmission, frame,forks,swingarm, wheels, 100 miles on high end knobbies drums, exhaust, right radiator and fan, rear fender and lights, right plastic all excellent. Thoughts on parting and making up some of the loss?
