I have a scorpion exo700 now, it is MUCH better than the HJC I used to have, but that is because I had the cheap HJC. Both are good helmets though. If you are on a budget and want a good, safe helmet, HJC is hard to beat. But the scorpion is a great helmet, better ventilation and better shields than the HJC's come with. Both are heavier than a shoei or suomy though.

HJC was my only choice until I heard of Scorpions. Is the only difference between the 400 series and the 700 series the shell, and everything else is the same (i.e. vents, visors, etc.) ? I might go with the Scorpion, since it is not much more than the HJC, since the 700 series do not come in 3XL. Not much I can do to shrink my head other then find some medicine man in Peru to do it for cheap.

The shell on the 700 is better, stronger material, and I think it has more vents. Not sure though, I never checked out a 400.Don't try to fit into a helmet that isn't your size though, you have to live in there

I have an HJC AC-11 which is pretty similar to the CL-15's. Ilove the fit because my head is more round. I tried the shoei rf1000 for a little while but that helmet seems to fit too narrow. I also have an OGK helmet and even though it fits me nicely once on, it just about rips my ears off when i take it off.

I have an AC-12 Carbon... It is VERY light, but just the noise from the wind going over it can get annoying really quick. After a 3 hour drive to my college at 70+ MPH my ears will ring... I haven't had any problems with cold in the winter (did you remember to close all of the vents aszrael?)... I just upgraded from an old Yamaha that was made before I was born to a ZX6R and now I also have the engine echoing into the helmat and I think that will be the helmat's downfall before the end of the summer...
