Default breaking in mx boots

I have a pair of alpinestar tech 3 mx boots, and was wondering the most time tested way of breaking them in. I started wearing them all the time while I'm home, but they are so stiff, and feel real awkward. My wife and kids have gotten used to me wearing them all the time, but people do double takes driving down the road when I mow my grass wearing shorts and the bootsLol Thanks

try walking on the tippie toes of the boots and jumping up and down in them, if you work out and have access to a jump squat machine, wear the boots, itll break them in, in a few hours.

I also read about people slathering them up in mink oil, and putting them in the oven @150 for 1 hr(Not making this up). They also state that you should not bother asking your wife permission, just do it. I'm going to try it for the hell of it.

Evil has the right idea..ha-ha. My tech 8s were broken in by a friend due to an ACL blowout. But I do know this. Buy a set of Tech 10s..I know there alot of money. But if you ride all the time they are worth it. I put them on right out of the box before a race at Pleasure Valley. Never missed a shift , I was amazed. No break in time at all.

Wear them all the time while you're riding, and so you know what that means.........more riding. "But honey I have to ride more with them on or they won't be safe to wear" Yea when she hears safety, that's all it will take.[8D]

As a girl I hate stiff boots, try this: a 50/50 mixture of rubbing alcohol and water - rub the boots thoroughly inside and out (soak 'em) and walk around with them for several hours - beats the oil, bees wax, etc.

They are supposed to be stiff, that's how they protect you. You'll get use to them, and use to people calling you a Storm trooper. you know from Star Wars?..............Cough (clears throat) sorry.[8D]
