need help with '05 concours 1000
My dad owned a '05 kawasaki concours 1000. Tragically, he passed away, leaving us with the bike. We don't ride and don't really know much about them. I'm looking to sell it, but first i need to charge the battery. Where is the battery located? How would I go about charging it? Or do I have to take it to the shop? Thanks for any help!

Welcome to the 7 Sisters of Atlas.
Not assuming you haven't thought of this, but this was your dad's bike. Have you considered getting your endorsement and keeping it? He might think that was pretty cool. Don't underestimate the "soul of the bike."
Having said that, I would begin by looking under the seat. Concours (I don't own one) may have their own battery box in some obscure place. More importantly is, how long has it been sitting? You may need fresh fuel as well. No need to take it to the shop; I'm sure one of the concours owners here can help you.
Glad to have you with us.

Sorry to hear of your loss.
OEM Parts Kawasaki Concours (ZG1000-A20) 2005 CHASSIS ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT - Cheap Cycle Parts
Generally under the seat or side cover under the seat. (obviously, I do not own one)
although I would like one to buy......to cruise comfortably.

Losing someome is tough, its one of those things we all have in common, and quite frankly was never supposed to happen, but thats for another topic. Sorry for your loss. These guys are on the right track for helping you. Wow I just realized that this is your first post and the post from deendaily is his first post as well. New member already helping someone, how cool is that? This community is more than just a bunch of posters, we really have a unique family here that can help in a lot of ways. I love this place. Dang it, now I'm getting all emotional. Ok as you were.
