Fender Eliminator by Mr.Big and remo
Hey guys, today I had the bright idea of taking apart the rear end of my bike to try and make up a fender eliminator like the one remo made for his bike. Well I got taking it apart and realized that I really didn't have to buy anything to do it. I didn't leave the light on like he did though. Here is what I did:
- took off the fender and fender bracket.
- took off the rear tail section so I could get to the plug for the license plate light.
- bent the rear part of the fender bracket so its only bolted on with two bolts now and the other two holes are used to bolt on the license plate.
- reassembled using the two holes on the bent part of the fender bracket for the license plate.
- Oh don't forget to flip the black license plate bracket upside down so it lowers the plate to clear the signal light plastics.
Here are some pictures. Doesn't look too bad for a free job.
And here is remo's take on this DIY:
This is a home made Eliminator that I came with using 2" corner brakets. It utilizes the stock light and the license plate brackets and mounts in the stock area.
