haha it would be the same as throwing a undertail on it, it doesnt throw a FI light but when we hook up KDIAG, it shows that the exhaust valve control system has been tampered with, and for how long its been down. If you go to your dealer please dont lie,

I didnt read the whole thread but i did the jumper mod and worked. use a short wire to jump between the yellow and black wire to...... i cant remember. look on zx6r forum. that is where i got the info. from. takes only a few minutes to do. but all it does is stop the exhaust servo from closing. when you add a aftermarket exshaust it is absolete. I THINK. I think i have my story straight. i put the yoshi rs5 on a couple nights ago.

The ECU Jumper Mod controlsFuel supply andthe Exhaust valve from signalsby the ECU. The Jumper Mod also affects the fuel at high RPMs so even if you get rid of the exhaust valve or install an aftermarket exhaust, the bike will still shut off fuel at top-end Rpm range. The engineers wouldn't design a system that would still dump fuel in with the exhaustvalve restricted. That would cause extra unburned fuel to ignitein the exhaust possibly causing a fire.It would greatly affect emissions and melt the Catalytic Converter.
There is a lot of mis-information out there on the internet &other forums.
So, Bottom Line: The ECU Jumper Mod affectsthe fuel supply andprevents closing ofor restrictionby the exhaust valve.
So even if you got a Slip-On or Full Exhaust, the fuel supply would be cutoff at Top-end rpm range. You will notice an improvement in power just because of the freer flow but not the maximum you can achieve without the ECU Jumper mod. One member here has already proven that on the dyno.

It is a good thing; A VERY GOOD THING![8D] By doing the ECU jumper mod, you allow full use of the available power byremoving the restriction of the exhaust & fuel system. It's like Hot-Wiring the ECU.
