I made a couple of upper triple clamp trim & matching tank pad pieces for an 03-04 ZX6R/RR. Let me know if you're interested?

I have a sheet of that stuff that you can cut to anyshape you want. That is what I did. I made triple clamp, gas cap & tank pads from one medium sized sheet and had enough left for oher items.

i found that carbon fiber hoods from wrecked cars are perfect for stiff-application parts, like covers, heelguards, and custom dashes. i made a rack of things out of a hood i got from a wrecked honda.... heelgaurds for an RC-51, accents and stuff for my bike and others' bikes.. and you can usually get the hoods for little to nothing...
the dash i'm working on for my bike is sweet, with holes for the boost and a/f gauge and all... its very easy to work with.
and raw c.f., tho easier to make custom stuff, is just a pain. i used to work with c.f. while working with a LeMans team' Audi R8 a few years back
use a pneumatic 3" cutoff wheel for the initial rough cut, then dremel and mill-file the part to spec..
you'll murder the 1" dremel discs on the c.f. hoods tho if you're not careful.. the 3" just take a beating better...
very nice work tho, by the way!!

i found that c.f. hoods from wrecked rice cars (rice.. not race!!) make an excellent media for applications needing a more rigid material base. i've made dashes, heelguards, accents, badges, and a plethora of other crap from c.f. hoods.
even tho ifs not as convenient as raw carbon fiber, its vastly faster to cut out the already set up, cured, clearcoated part than to make a mold, lay the raw c.f., apply epoxy resin, vacuum form if, and all the other crap you hafta do to have a nice part made.
i use a 3" pneumatic cutoff wheel to rough cut the part, and use a file and dremel to bring the dimensions into spec.
you'll murder the 1" dremel wheels in no time, unfortunately...
but i found the (broken) hoods can be had for little to nothing. its almost all profit when you get a free hood, and make a few sets of RC-51 heelguards out of it!
