wax or no wax?

RE: wax or no wax?
Be carefule with the Pledge, evil, there's petroleum distillates (derivative of kerosene) in that stuff which will break down paint after awhile, because it loosens it from the underneath. Furniture wax/polish uses"petro" to break down the wax to soak into the wood. Not a good idea on painted surfaces. Same with using WD-40 on vinyl; same petro issues. (It's also used in Saddle Soap to penetrate the leather. The petro breaks down the fibers in order to make them more "pliable.")
Just my 2 cents.

(I'm using the term "petro" as a generalabbreviation for the distillate, from the petroleum category. It's not actually a proper name, in case any posters are confused...)
Sorry.

Plexus all the way. It's a magical wonder in a can. Always used it on jeep windows Been using it for years from graphics on dirt bikes, goggles, helmets and now plastic on the 636. Doesn't leave a film and it smooth and shiney....easier to get the bugs off too.
