Default kz1100 spectre air shocks

Hello folks I bought me a 1982 kz1100 spectre last year. It needs a good carburetor cleaning, along with a head gasket and valve cover gasket. My question is can I have the factory shocks rebuilt? If not, can I buy factory replacements?https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...pic29557_1.gif

My first thought would be no on the rebuild. Call around to some suspension gurus though to find out the fee involved if the shocks can indeed be rebuilt.

I did not bring my old mans glasses to view the pic of your ride. lol

That picture was bigger when I uploaded it, this forum is stingy on file size. I guess I'll have to post a link so that I can get a bigger picture on here.http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...A0VqHJCQGt.jpg

Nice looking bike.
Can't answer your questions though...

Thanks, I never was a fairing kind of guy before I bought this one. It is really nice when the temperature gets cold, and also keeps me from getting covered in bugs. I'd like to buy the Vetter hardbags and trunk to go with the fairing, but first things first.

thanks for the updated pic.

I was debating on a fairing for my long distance ride runner. I am thinking about trying out the vaquero fairings on my '92 KZ1000. I agree, long hauls need some protection.

I saw some pictures of those fairings, they are pretty nice.

I just remembered a friend of mine has a fairing with a low windshield like that one. He is 6'2", and the wind hits his head. It may be a good windshield if you're not so tall.
