305 csr engine racing
Ok I got this 1982 kawasaki 305 csr off a towyard a few months ago in bad shape. It was sitting for the last 13 years. I cleaned out the tank and the carbs (using gumout carb cleaner - the kind you soak the parts in). before I used the gumout I ran some seafom through the bike and it was having an idle problem, took forever to get warm and when it did the idle would stay at 1200 rpm until I gave it some gas then it would stay at about 5-6 k rpm. so I took the carbs back apart and soaked them in the gumout stuff, both sides look sparkly clean.
simce I did that the right side carb makes the engine race to 8-10k... I know it's the right side carb because it runs fine when I shut off the petcock, drain the right side carb and start it. I did the same with the left side and the bike races only when the right side carb has fuel in it.
any ideas or suggestions what to try next to remedy this issue?

Ok I'm a moron lol. A while back I had the carbs apart to fix a leak between the two carbs (in the fuel feed T that is between the carbs) and whe I put it back together I screwed up and didnt have the linkage right so the "throttle butterfly" on the right side just stayed wide open... I ran it a lot since then but apparently until I did the recent thorough cleaning I was not running on both cylinders... when I cleaned out the jets and all I guess that's when the original blunder became evident. She is back together now properly and purring like a kitten
