Default Neck Rake Z1 900

Can anyone tell me what the stock neck rake was on the 76 Z1 900( ie. degree's). Have a frame I'm setting up in a frame jig and want to make sure I get it setup right. Thanks!

I looked around and couldn't find the exact specs dor that thing. But on the same year, police edition, it was 27 degrees. One article said that 95% of all parts were interchangeable, but to be sure I would call Kawi....

BTW, welcome to the forums.

10-4 Big, will be posting some pics. Maybe kind of a build log type of thing.

Hey Big Rig here's a couple of pics of the bike on my frame jig, close to being all setup. Thinking about doing a build log on this if there is any interest? Let me know gentleman.

Nice..... I would be interested in keeping up with this build project.... Keep it comin.

Did you settle on 27 degrees? Is the front neck set now where you want it? What are you using for a degree/ angle meter? http://www.amazon.com/Tajima-Slant-1.../dp/B0008IVWXS? http://www.globalsourcesdirect.com/s...e-Meter/Detail?

Are you setting the frame to all stock? Or are you raking it out with a drop?

Thanks Big, Yeah I'll keep posting on this project but I may start a new thread for it with the appropriate subject line.

Needed the neck angle more for setting up the frame as a whole in the jig, to make sure it was close to original ride attitude. I actually plan on cutting the neck loose and raking it some and stretching the backbone some to get the look I'm after. I also need alittle more triple tree to gas tank clearance. Going to be using the front and rear suspension from a 2003 Kaw ZX9, with some modifications. Rear swingarm is going to be widened to accept a 250 rear tire. Going for a pro-street drag bike type of look!
