May I show you my "new" baby? '83 KZ750-L3
In 1983 I bought a new '83 KZ750-L3. LOVED it! Kept it several years and rode it everywhere, touring and everything. Moved on to other Kaws. Always wished I'd kept the L. Last November a friend notified me there was a really clean one with only 15K miles on eBay. I gobbled it up and hubby and I picked it up in Iowa! (loooooong way; we're in SC) Now, "Bessie" is fully restored with powdercoating, new paint, new decals, etc, and I'm pleased as punch with my retro-ride. (My main ride is still my '04 Z1000.) Just thought you guys (mostly) wouldn't mind me showing my new baby off a tad. Thx for looking. ____Granny Green Streak

That is a clean ride for sure. Congrats
It must be nice to have a sand blasting machine in the garage! sheesh lol
What was the main reason to get another KZ 750 when you already have the 04 Z1000?

Don't mean to sound smart alec, but... why not? :~) I just love motorcycles--esp. Kaws--and I always loved that one. I'm especially fond of classic Kaws, probably because I owned a dealership 1980-1984. And hubby has 3, so I can have 2. Right? My philosophy is you can never have too many motorcycles. The heck with the "shoes" or "purses." Heh-heh.

Wow!!! I absolutely love that style of bike. Great....now another bike to obsess over on ebay and craigslist. LOL Just when I thought I was through... Speaking of bikes, I found this one on some website that a guy has, and in fact I emailed him, and we've been talking about bikes and other stuff. It is my fav style. Thanks again for sharing.

Whoops I see that you registered back in November but we missed the chance to welcome you. Maybe throw a late intro in the new members area. Oh and welcome. Now if you will excuse me I am going to go look for bikes like yours and similar ones...LOL
Oh and I posted this somewhere here, but thought you would appreciate it. A guy I know in town back in the day, drove over to Seattle and bought this GS brand new, I took these pictures this summer. He finally got it out and started it up after 10 years...who leaves a bike for 10 years....a girlfriend, a wife, a job....but sheesh not a bike!!!
Oh and sorry for the thread jack...

Ohhh, gosh, Deej! Your red&black baby is a BEAUTY! LOVE the matching Arai and your jacket. And that is one sharp li'l blue Suzi too! My husband's current project is building a similar style cafe out of a 1980 Kaw 750 LTD he bought at a yard sale with hardly any miles on it! Looked brand new! But he pulled the LTD tank, etc., and put a 1980 650SR tank, a GPZ550 tail and fender, added a fairing, etc. I found a Kerker for it just like the one on the Suzi. The painter called and said it's nearly done last night (bright red). It's gonna be sharp when he's done. Thanks for showing me yours and the cafe. I loved 'em. As for finding one like mine, wellllllll... you'll need a little luck. They only made the KZ750-L3 one year, 1983. Then the import law kicked in and the next one (the L4) was only a 700cc and not the same paint scheme. The L3s are kinda rare, especially in oem condition. Most have been ratted out or something. It's really exactly the same thing as a 1982 GPz750-R1. Have a blessed day!
