Does anyone remember the1981 GPZ 1100?
New guy with a question. I bought this bike in 1980-1 and I am looking now to put a battery in it. I can't seem to find a knowlegable Kaw dealer in Michigan. I would like to find a wiring diagram, or picture that shows the battery installed. I only have 7000 miles on it, and I have lost the only service manual that I found 20 years ago.
Where can I go?
Thanks for any help.

Something that old most shops wont touch, and its always tough finding parts for the old iron.
Putting the battery in should be fairly straightforward, but a wiring diagram will be tough to find outside of the manual. Good luck brotha, and Welcome to KF!

Mate of mine has a 81 GPz1100, awesome bike in it's day, I had it up to 240kmh once. It would have gone faster, I wasn't game

Thanks for the help, guys. I actually bought the bike sight unseen, new, because Cycle
World magazine ran an article on it that gave the top speed as 143 MPH. I had to watch the tachometer, because U.S. government rules at the time limited speedometers to 85 MPH. CycleWorld was right, but it was scary.
Thanks again, I will check the links.
