Default '86 zx1000

has anyone else had trouble finding parts for '86 models? my local shop ordered a new rear sprocket and damper but, when the parts came in he said they didn't fit. he said they were the only parts he could find. basically he told me to go out and try to find what i could on the internet. the damper he ordered(and claimed didn't fit) is #92075-1593. has anybody else had difficulty with the gpz/ninja/1000a/1000b difference?

Welcome to the forums... I am not real sure on the 1986 model. That was one year b4 the B model changeover. unfortunately I don't think a lot of the parts are interchangeable.

www.oldbikebarn.com if they don't list what you need, email them. They are good folks and can get almost anything for the oldies but goodies.

www.ebay.com

www.bikebandit.com

If you still can't find the parts you need, let me know, and I can check on them for ya. I have not had any probs finding parts at all.

Like bigrig points out, both bikebandit.com and oldbikebarn have a lot of old kawi parts. bikebandit also sells OEM parts.

BigRig, thanks for getting the Classics section up and running![sm=smiley20.gif] I do have one suggestion I will PM you about. Tell me what you think about it.
