Default 84 750 running rich?

my 84 gpz 750 has a noticable hesitation at low rpms when you pin it it happens at about 3k or 4k but after that she rips. I have a feelin that the guy before me put different jets in and its running rich. she also smokes a lil cold starting but after that its fine no smoke. the hesitation does get a little better after its warmed up but its still noticable. i have no clue what jets are in there and what is stock. would anyone know what size stock is, or wtf else could be up wit this.

What did you find out with the carbs and inspection?

I would be more concerned on a vacuum leak, or a fuel level adjustment first since the hesitation is in the 3-4k range and not while wide open. Double check your carb synch as well. Check in the manuals section here at KF. Don't remember if that ride was listed or not.

my airbox has a couple cracks in it, possible solution? or just eliminate the airbox and put some pods on it. or would that mess up the jetting too much

here is the link. Not sure if that info is in there but check it out. https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=19450
I swore I have a factory manual on this ride. I need to look in my library.

edit: no 750 hardcopy manuals here.

I generally prefer to keep the air box for most rides and not use pods.

doubt the airbox is the problem, and generally the harder you go on the throttle the more prevalent any problems with the jets would become. if you have ho problems on the high end I dont think it would be a jetting problem. However I cant suggest anywhere else to look...
