1981 Kawasaki KZ1000
My KZ1000 Shaft
This bike gets up and GOES! When I got the bike it didn't have the side cover emblems on it so I had my body guy fill the holes and I told him to surprise me with the paint job. I didn't know what to expect but I knew it'd be pretty sweet. So he did a metal flake paint job (not metallic paint) with some flames. I think it looks pretty sweet. I need to take some time with it after I graduate from collegeand restore the rest of the bike. But as of right now it is what it is
I wonder why the speedomoeter in some of these bikes (like mine) only goes up to 85 MPH when I know it will do well over that. I think some of the earlier KZ1000's go up to the 180's or so.

It isn't a custom seat, well actually it might have been reapulstered by the first owner. If you open the cover it has the original Specifications sticker. I am going to need to get it reapulstered soon because it's got a hole in it that was patched by the previous owner. Glad you guys like it
