After a bunch of work and $$$ this is how far I am. Frame was blasted and then painted with gloss black Imron, wheels rechromed, new spokes, wheel bearings, tapered headset bearings, all new hardware, everything has been re-painted or replaced. Now its time to tackle the engine. It's already all apart.

everything has been off ebay. There is one place in Pennsylvania, one in San Diego and I forget where the other guy is. Chrome is all local by a shop here in Fresno. I have over 600 in chrome on the original chrome parts - including 300 to re-chrome the Dencos. They even chromed the inner baffles. I was thinking of going with natural finish on the front wheel, but everyone else I've seen pictures of has been going back with the flat black on the front hub and brake so I did that , since that's what it originally was. (although personally I think a natural blasted/clearcoated finish would look better)

Looks great, JZ! Your investment of time and money is well spent on such a classic bike.
Keep us posted.

ok folks - it's moving right along now. Motor is in, carbs are on, all electrical is back in and working, new clubman bars, gauges back on. I am going to paint the bodywork this weekend I think.

tank, body panels all got primer today. Tomorrow the jade green goes on - I have new KAWASAKI decals for the tank and new 750 badges for the side covers. What I dont have is the rear tail grab bar that is supposed to be on the bike. guess I will have to go to Egay.

ok next in the photo progress. First of all, it's not going to be white! that is just a white primer/sealer. I got the Dencos all packed with new wadding, installed new allen bolts to retain the silencers. Seat cover is just sitting on the seat to get an idea of how it will fit. Carb linkages are in process... green paint SHOULD be tomorrow, weather permitting..
