yeah those things are so sweet, i rode one for the first time about 2 years ago and it blew my socks off, i mean for its time, it was a beast, long as you had a straight away , you wanted to turn you might wnat to start turning about 2 blocks ahead of time

I'd definitely put that bad boy on glass in the house if I did not have kids and sledge hammers. hehe.

Those things put a smile on my face everytime I think about them. I still have my old H-1 (check my pics). That bike seemed to never run out of gearing; just when you thought you were beyond the powerband, you could shift into another gear! I always wanted to put a set of GPZ spoked mag wheels on those bikes, except they (GPZ) had 16" on the rear.
Your H-2 looks GREAT!!! Nice work!

My GPz had a 19" on the front and an 18" on the back

What a nice ride... I'll bet that you smile every time you look at it. How is the Electronic Ignition? Angus....

You're right; my bad. I was thinking of the LTD wheels; not the GpZ. The old pics of Yvonne DuHamel on theKaw GP bikes had spokers just like the LTD wheels. (Team Hansen Kawasaki; DuHamel, Nixon, and Smart. Remember those days??)

I just picked up a 74 H2 for restoration. I'm in the process of teardown now - every square inch is going to be either beadblasted and repainted, or re-chromed or replaced. I just got the Denco pipes rechromed, along with the shifter, kicker, and brake. Right now I am taking the wheels apart to re-lace them with new spokes. I will post pix as I go along, I figure its going to take me 2 or 3 months. I've already ordered about 1500 bucks worth of brand new parts, so I think I will have around 3500 into it when its done. Thats including the original purchase price of 1500.

That is pretty clean. Yup, big engine in a bicycle looking frame era! Have fun on the resto
