Default Using a Bike Jack on a Vulcan 500

Just bought a Vulcan 500 LTD for my wife. I would like to be able to use a bike jack to lift it so it is easier to clean and maintain. The problem is the exhaust is lower than the frame, so if I slide it under and start raising the bike, all the weight of the bike would be on the exhaust. I doubt this is a wise thing to do. I was just wondering what other 500 owners do to raise their bikes.

I have also used a wood 4x4 under the engine case and between the headers on my 7's when using a floor jack.

I built my own custom jack but have built an adaptor for a friend who owned another EN500A. Pix attached to get the idea.
If you just copy the top part and secure it to a standard jack you should succeed.
