Question Are there tires that last longer than <7K mi.?

I have a 2008 Vulcan 1600 Nomad (which is awesome), but the Bridgestone tires that came on it stock suck (I've replaced the rear last year with the same due to a screw). Granted it's a heavy bike, but it seems the tires should last longer than < 7K Mi. The front has the original tire on it which means 9186 Mi. Is this typical wear or are there actually tires that might last longer than 2 seasons? (almost 3 in the case of the front) - or am I expecting too much!? I would be grateful for any insight/advise folks might have! Tx, BG

Not sure on exact miles yet, but slapped a set of Pirelli Night Dragons on a V-rod and a springer for testing. Initial thoughts are: if they achieve 7k miles in one season, then they will be doing well with good grip. Good luck and welcome to KF.

There are several different compounds for tires, in general the stickier they are the shorter the life span, but it still comes down to how you ride. Let us know how they work out.
