Default Synthetic Oil Change Cycle

Changed over to synthetic oil recently and was looking for comments on how often I should change it in my 2007 Vulcan Nomad 1600cc! Appreciate any comments. Thank you.

I run synthetic, and will follow the usual mileage schedule, or annually. Even though you (supposedly) can ride it farther, I still feel that changing it around 5 to 7K is a good practice, if only for the filter replacement. Just old fashioned, I guess.

Agree with dman. I've used synthetic for years. Yes, there are alleged clutch issues, but I haven't experienced any. I guess I'd rather rebuild a clutch than rebuild an engine.

Jeff,

Just curious; what type of oil do you run? A motorcycle specific oil or one of the automotive synthetics?

Clutch issues? Really? Damn...
