I have a need to get back in the saddle again after 25 years. I found a 2 tone black/silver 1600 Nomad with a power comander and V&H pipes installed 131 miles but the dealer still wants $12999. Any thoughts on this price? I think if I wait I could do better? I would appreciate any input to this.

What year is the bike? 12999 is the price of a brand new one. why not just go to naother dealer and get a brand new one for that much.

 

You're looking at an '07? - I assume so, since it is black/silver (ebony/titanium). I purchased mine NEWin late July of this year here in south-central PAfor $12,000 out-the-door (stock).

I'm not sure what the exhaust and and PC are worth (at least to you). I got to wonder why someone sold the bikewith only 131 miles on it??? Or was it 131 miles since adding the exhaust and PC? Still, why put that kind of money into a relatively new bike, then take a significant loss on both the bike and the add-ons? Yeh, right - like the dealership gave them that good of a trade-in allowance (sarcasm!).

If you can find a dealership that still has a new'07 on hand (or is willing to look for one for you), you should be able to get a heck of a price for it this late in the model-year.

Sorry, It is an 07 Nomad. I understood the dealer did not take it back in trade but has let some folks try it out. I had thought about offering 12000 and see what happens. There are not many 07 Nomads left here in the state of Missouri. Another dealer offered a stock ebony for 125000, I offered 11500 and that didn't fly.

email all the dealers in your area, and tell them what you want to pay for a new one, and make sure that they all know you are emailing all of them, create a little competitive environment for your business

I bought my 07 Ebony and Silver new and had v&h baggers put on with a fuel module six weeks ago. 12,600 counting taxes and licence. Seem you could get for 12,000 as it's a used bike. The 08s are almost out and they should be willing to deal. Factory is giving dealers a kickback now.

 

any updates, did you get a new bike?
