2007 Vulcan Nomad 1600 Exhaust
Looking to add some Vance & Hines Baggers to my 07 Nomad 1600 but wanted to get some input from any present owners and their experiences with the V&H baggers and any additional hardware necessary? Thanks in advance for all input.

I have an '06 Nomad and added V&H Baggers. Love them! Love them! They're not loud just to be loud. Actually I can ride through my neighborhood without getting on the gas and not offend anyone. When I do roll the throttle, it's a rubble .. IMO it's how it should sound.
If you just want a lot of noise, pull the baffles. If you want a really good sound that just gets better as you break in the pipes .. go with the Baggers !!

I've got an 07 Nomad and had the dealer put v&h baggers on it. I installed an EFI Tuner that turned out to be defected. I got a replacement from the manufactor but didn't reinstall it and my bike runs great. Love the sound and SO DOES MY WIFE. My bike didn't have as much pep as my 1500 fi did until I had about 9,000 miles on it. It runs steady and strong now. I love it.

They are worth it. They sound good and most if not all Kawasaki Dealers recommend them because they area the more popular ones out. You can install them yourself, not hard. Follow the directions from V&H. Get a new set of exhaust gaskits from the dealer. This can take you about an hour to remove and install the new one. Dealer will charge you a pretty coin. If you get a new exhaust think about getting a Fuel Mgmt system with it. Well worth it. I have the PC III and love it. They are a better combination because you can adjust the settings or have it dynoed to you personal preference. Look into the the Big Air Kits. This will give you the ultimate performance for your bike. So think about these. Do you homework and ask questions. Shop around too.

I have an '06 Nomad. Looking at V & H Baggers and was wondering if I have to get the fuel management system ( PC III or other ) with them, or if I can use the Baggers as they are. I would prefer not to spend more than I have to.
Thanks..............

They are not loud!. Initially when you get them they have the baffles in them packed with fiberglass. If you want a real loud bike, take the baffles out and That is LOUD!. I have ridden with both the baffles on and off. The baffles sound good with them. They will get slightly louder with time because of the fiberglass starts to loosen up. Otherwise, they are not loud. You will not regret buying a pair. It will be your preference with the baffles or not. Most people want loud, to be heard. others are more conservative. Hope this helps.

You probably won't need to make anyother mods to the bike, the intake is still choked off pretty good. YOu could try guttinng your stock pipes and see about that volume. I did it yesterday, it's pretty easy, and it's not going to cause my neighbors to throw rocks at me in the morning.
