Man doesn't this guy deej ever work? Ok so I took off a couple hours early, and the guy at work with the KLR 650 and I decided to see if the road we went on the other day came out waaaaaaaaaa on the other side of the mountain, and we discovered that it did. We got to the highway from town at 31 miles, and then he took off for home, and since I couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit one of the highest points on the peninsula I headed up to the Snyder lookout. 10 more miles up a really steep grade and 10 back down, I actually coasted 9 of the 10 miles down to save on gas. Ended the day at 72 miles after a 20 mile 60 mph ride on the blacktop. I also discovered that in 6th gear and at 6000 rpm I am going exactly 60. Hmmmmmmm 6-6-60 Here are a few pictures, and I promise I will chill on all of the ride reports and cut them back to once a month.
In this picture you can actually see the Straights of Jaun De Fuca
In this pic you can see Highway 101 from the lookout. Also if you look waaaaaay off in the distance you can see Lake Crescent which is about another 10 miles away.
Don't you just love signs like this? LOL
Well That's it, so as you can see I am having a blast re-discovering my own back yard. So all you guys in Washington, get you're butts over here and have fun.

Us folks in the crowded east coast, have to rely on the posts and pics of the ones fortunate enough to live in a great riding area. Your trip posts, for me, are my "armchair dual-sport trip" which is better than no trip at all! All my old trails are closed (gone, actually) and the mountains are several (3+) hours away, with all their good places, which means an overnite trip for any really good riding areas, unless I just go to one the ATV/MC pay-parks about 1-2 hours away.
*sigh*

Beautiful scenery Deej, if you only posted once a month I would be pissed.
Yeah deej, keep it coming! BTW, I noticed our very own deej is in the top 10 poster ranking! Goes to show you how fast the KLX250S board has grown in such a short time.
If you ever stop goofing off at work and not taking trips and posting trips reports, we will bury your bike deep in mud! Even if we have to truck it up there to do it! [sm=devilangel.gif]
Let's face it, I never get to see a sign like this anywhere around where I live . . . . . .
According to my GPS, I'm all of 75 feet above sea level, which in Florida is like living in the mountains!
Don't stop!
We love seeing your reports and yes, even your spotlessly clean bike!

Where does it list posters?
