Default Deej got dirty and had a blast

OK camping Friday Saturday and Sunday I hooked up with a friend in Sequim Wa and he took me down some trails that were the most technically challenging trails I have ever seen. We were going through creeks, around fallen trees and over 16 inch logs. I gotta tell you I am really out of shape, I was huffing and puffing most of the day, but it was a blast. I had my camera with me but it just seemed to be forgotten with all of the fun I was having. But here are a couple of pics of the trails.

Here is another one, but I have to tell you these pictures are nothing like most of the trail. The lighting was poor and I just didn't want to stop to take pics. But next time.

OK here is the picture where it all happened. I was crossing this creek, and I should have stood up when climbing, but I'm still a noob, and the bike shot out from under me like a bullet. Luckily I was able to hang on to the handlebars and keep the bike from falling over the edge or tumbling back down into the water. Man I was sore, and I think it was in this picture that the forks got a little tweaked. I got them straightened out today, so it's all good. That's my buddy that stood at the bottom, but again it looks a lot easier than it was.

And Finally a good old sing along. Good classic rock and good players, of course I'm not in the picture because I can neither play or sing lol.

Oh I just figured out how to salvage one of the pictures. The original picture was so dark that all you could see was the tail light, so as you can see the slippery roots were brutal, but fun too. Well that's it for now, now I have to get rested for the next ride, wherever that is.

Nice pics Deej. That creek crossing looks pretty interesting..especially the bridge! I've got too get up there and check out the peninsula. I've lived here my entire life and I've never been there. Did it rain up there all weekend like it did here?[sm=sigh.gif]

Yes it rained, but in Sequim the rain is like a mist compared to out here in Forks. It did rain thru the night on Friday, but then on Saturday by 10 in the morning at least the rain stopped. Oh and guys remember when I had the cleanest bike, and did all I could to avoid the mud and dirt? Well let me tell you, after about 15 minutes on the trail I was actually looking for the deepest spot and the muddiest areas to cross. LOL I have come to the dark side.
