Default Pictures of lowered KLX250s

Hi, I am new to this site from England. Considering changing my GSXR 600 in for a new KLX250s. Mainly due to weight of the bike and riding position not to my liking. I am male, but only 5ft 4 1/2, I sat on a 2009 KLX 250s last week and found it too tall for me. So, considering buying a 2010 and getting 40mm lowering link fitted. We have fI internationl in this country, the same as Kouba links.

I have searched all over the internet and this forum for pictures for pictures of lowered KLX250s 2008/2009/2010 models. And cannot find any pictures of a KLX250s lowered.

If you have a picture of a lowered 2008/2009/2010 please post a picture up with the 40mm lowering kit or point me in the right direction of one please.

Thankyou for any help / information.

Just 'tard it out with 17" wheels and it'll be low enough for ya.

Doh!!

Firstly welcome.
What I wouldn't do for that extra 1/2 an inch.

There are 2 ways to lower a bike.

Cheap and expensive.

Cheap, lowering links, raise the forks in the triples and maybe shave the seat.

Expensive, (around $Aus1000)

I have since put in heavier front springs in as well.

Pic of it after,

Default going to drop 1 inch also

my dealer had 1" lowering links for only $50, took them with the bike, also getting 1" risers so i can drop the forks in the trees, i am 5-8 and can touch down but want a little extra

Neilaction and myself have something in cammon, no legs.
I sat on my bike in the dealers showroom with the mechanic and the dealer holding the bike, I had 2 1/2" of air below my pointed toe and the floor, I can now get two toes on the ground after lowering.
The idea of the 1" risers for the bars sound good, must try it.

there are longer risers also that just fit between the bars 2" or a little more, only $20 for some plain types, during my learning process aka reading many informative posts, i seen where the trees were dropped 2", my 09 has a slight taper in the fork tubes maybe 1" below present stock location, this member said he shimmed the tubes to get a tight clamp, i would think too much rake toward the front could effect handling

wow, i just bought a gsx750 and love the power. if your changing i hope you dont do alot of highway riding, alot more vibration. just keep in mind if your going to swap your going from a road bike ment for the road and a dirt bike with road tires meant for the dirt.
