I have a 2009 klx250s. Has anyone only adjusted the fuel screw and if so what results were obtained.

 

You'll need to remove the carb' to access the screw (remove plug.) While you're at it fit a Dynojet #2206 kit. Job done.

 

+1 Oz! If your goin into the carb, you might as well go ahead and re-jet.

 

Your only fatten'en up the mix just off idle by adjusting your fuel screw. If your not re-jetting the carb and don't have any decel popping then don't waste your time messin with it.

 

You might as well get an adjustable T handle fuel screw while you're at it, in case you don't get it perfect the first try.

 

I have hesitation at about 3,000 rpm's especially when cold. Plan on doing the rejet and kouba screw and a slip on hopefully in the near future. I just thought that I might be able to get rid of the hesitation. I just wish theses carbs were easier to get to. My old 81 KDX250 was a breeze. Kinda wish I had that motor in this frame.
