Hey everybody, just joined the site. I'm a longtime kawasaki fan, I just picked up a nice 2001 ZX9R but haven't got to play on it much do to the weather. I have a 1988 Tecate4 that I built one piece at a time, it have a sprock racing 300bb, without getting into to much detail I'll just say its a really nice machine. Anyway its good to be here and I'm looking forward to sharing info and swapping stories.

We travel a lot to go riding. I usually only take the tecate4 on local rides that I know the area well cause it can get you in trouble fast if you don't know what is coming up. It will take just about any new 450 4 stroke on the market today. For our long trips I ride my honda 300ex. We do lots of hill climbing in Ky and WV. The honda works great on hills.
As for owning diesels... I have no use for a diesel. To me unless you can make a diesel work you don't need one. I don't think diesels should be drag racers, they are work horses. I work for Caterpillar and repair (and build) heavy truck engines. You can just about go to any truck stop and ask about Bob from Ohio/Cat and someone there will know me. I'm getting a pretty big following LOL. Anybody can throw fuel and timing at a diesel and get it to make lots of horse power, build one that can pull 80,000 lbs. over a steep grade at 50+ mph without getting hot and get close to 7 mpgthen you are good. I've got some trucks getting close to 8 mpg and they are grossed out all the time.
