ok i dono what the krap is going on. ok i picked up the bike (95 zx7) and the guy drove it on to the trailer he had to jump it with his truck but it was started within 5 mins or so but the battery was dead when i got home so i didnt screw with it today after i got off work i tried to jump it with my car and after bout 15 mins of cranking and playing with the choke i gave up it will spit and try to start but it wont i have the battery on a slow azz trickel charger right now to see if the battery is gonna be any good. but i need a shop manuel for like the wireing and such. if anyone knows where i can download a shop manuel for a 95 zx7 in english lemme know tail and break lights work but no turns or headlight or horn. ps is there a easy trick to starting this thing that i dono that everyone else does? any help would be greatly appreciated.
yea your right about not being enuf ummph as forr a new battery its fairly new 3 months or so old according to the guy i bought it from i put it on a charger tonight after being on there for bout 20 mins the battery was back so i pulled the plugs and they were all fouled and wet with gas. i cleand them and dropped them back in and it fired right up i think i flooded it when i was tryin to jump it with the car. so im going to leave it on slow charge all night then let it sit while im at work and see if it goes dead just sitting there. but yea anyone knows where i can down load wireing diagrams for a 95 zx7 i dont kare if i have to pay a lil but i need to setup the lights i rode it around the appartment complex tonight and i cant remember when i rode last but it was fun gota get this thing up and leagle.
ok got all the lights working cept the turn signals that are not there! does anyone else see condensation threw the sightglass to check the oil? i went ahead and changed the oil. and let it run for like 5 mins or so then drove it around town fora lil bit and back to the apartment it wont go back to netrual? i ended up killing it then trying to get it on my back porch while holding the clutch ( a pain in the but the clutch needs adjustment) but yea isnt it like 1 down 5 up? netrual dissapeard?
A word of caution!! Do not jump the bike and then ride it, if the battery is really dead or can't take a charge, this can prove real dangerous for you. Case in point: Years ago I bought a used 1979 Yamaha 650 special that had been sitting for like 2 years, the battery was completely dead.We put in fresh gas, then I jumped the bike at the guys house and thendecided to ride it home. Well the first stop sign that I came to I pulled in the clutch, hit the brake and the current or the lack of killed the motor, which was caused by a bad battery and or not enough time to charge it, and since the bike had been sitting for two years, the clutch plates were stuck together and would not release like they were intended to, and well lets just say the back tire locked up and I went down like Rosie O'Donnell on a plate of hot wings, (notice I kept it clean)
and ended up in a cast.I never really broke anything, but looking back almost 20 years, I can't even remember if I even had a helmet on, or if the tires had air.Sheesh, why is it we only learnwith age or when something goes wrong? The cast was a precaution that the doctor put on my right hand since there is a bone behind your thumb that is hard to X-ray, and if you don't let it heal you can lose movement in your hand or worse. I ended up keeping the cast on for about 2 weeks and it got so itchy that I cut it off. OK that was probably waaaaaaaaaaaaay more information that you needed or even asked for, sorry, Isometimes get busy typing and before you know it I have a page of dribble in front of me. Whoops. Back to answeryour question.......A new battery is in order before you start with anything else. My two cents.

well a few bucks later some tweaking and some time has paid off. i went ahead and got the battery as suggested i played with the carbs more so it's not a pain to start anymore and a much more pleasant ride. new bearings and brakes all aroundit already came with some neat perks like the full muzzy. i just got the new tires on it has came together pretty nice its streetleagle and road worthy now ive rode it to and from work over the last month. the fairings are all on it but it looks like crap.runs like a champ thou a lil old but when riding it doesnt show its age i got 2 buds that live near me that ride one a r6 and the other a gixer 600 i can ride confortably with them and have no probs katching up or getting left.butthe gearbox is still real touchy especially when cold ,, impossable to get to neutral once warm its not as noticeable. bout to change the oil again i've been kinda religious about it since i got it on the street whats your thoughts on oil weight, brand, filter and such right now im using castrol gtx 20-50 with a super tech st6607filter just cause it was cheap at the time and it wasnt on the street. rember 94 ninja zx7 with some miles
