Bike Knocked Down
Can you belive it? Went to the bank to deposit paycheck...came out and lo and behold my bike is laying on it's right side in the parking lot. No friggin' witnesses!. Luckily I installed sliders about 2 weeks ago!
Damage: 1) tiny scrape on exhaust
2) small scratches on bellypan and engine casing
3) broken right rearset (bracket and footpeg) Brake lever fine!
Not one scratch on fairing or barends or mirrors or directionals! whew!
Just ordered the right side bracket and footpeg. Gonna take about a week to get them
Had a big bike ride planned this weekend....Oh well...could've been worse! Sliders Rule!
If I find the Bastard that knocked it down!
Going tomorrow to the bank to see if they had survaillence cameras in the area where I parked...doubt it though........People suck..

Holy crap dude, if they have this on video, I would definately hunt this person down! Can't stand how people think just because its a bike they can just hop on and try it out. How would they like it if we jump in their car and try it out?
Problem is.....It is a "mall"type shopping center! The parking lot is gigantic and I parked nowhere near the bank as I had other errands to run at other shops! It just boggles my mind that there was noone to witness this, Personally I would have at least left something on the bike w/my number had I witnessed any wrongdoing to someone elses vehicle. ...been there...done that...
I've been talking to friends whose bikes went down on a "stand-still" and they have had much more damage than I have! They've had to replace or deal with a lot more issues from a knockdown. It's nice to have friends to make you feel better during the crappy times in your life! If all I neet is a bracket and a peg, than I should actually feel kinda lucky...it coulda been much worse

At first I was thinking...
Was it parked on asphalt? Were you using a stand puck? I've seen/heard of many stories where the asphalt gets soft and the stand sinks in and causes the bike to tip...
But yours was on its RIGHT side!? Only one possible cause there... Bastards! Glad the sliders helped protect your baby...

Someone probably wanted to sit on it and get a camera-phone shot with his buddy... and learned 1 second too late that bikes are heavy and why can't I turn the bars??? Aaaaghhhh! *crunch*
