Default hello

Hello all newbie here i just bought a zx9r 99 with about 13000 miles on it. What are some problems or things i should look out for on this bike. any suggestions would help, im trying to take care of it so it will last as long as posible. . . w.b thanks folks

thanks, what kind of bike you got there. . .? What should I be doing at 13000 miles Preventative maintenance wise? thanks for any info

Congrats on the ride and welcome to the forums.
Your manual will give a general listing for what needs done at certain mileage levels. But you just got this ride, so I would go through everything from axle to axle. Sounds kind of extreme, but my owners manual for the 10r lists about everything to be checked at 12k miles.

thanks i've been doing stuff to it making sure everythings ok. . . i need to get a manual. . . .the last owner lost it.

Glad that you are looking after yourself. The manual I was referring to was the service manual. Normally does not come with the purchase.

I prefer using the factory service manuals and not haynes.
