Small hands and hand levers
O.K., the Ninja 250 I've been riding is my wife's. She was away on vacation and I got to ride it, now she's started to, and the bike fits her well BUT for the reach to the brake and clutch levers, a real (and painful) stretch for her. What have you riders with small hands done about this?
buy longer gloves. lol. do the 250's have a reach adjustment ? like on the outer front part of the brake lever there is a screw you can turn that will adjust the lever from the bar ? or you can look into a aftermarket assembly too. just an idea. do the levers have a dial on them marked 1 2 3 4 ?
Pazzo and CRG levers both have 6 adjustment settings on top of the fact that they swwop in closer to the grips. I have the Pazzos on my ZX7R and I leave them at "1" being the closest setting. These levers definitely make riding more comfortable.
Thanks for the suggestions BUT neither Pazzo nor CRG lists a lever for the Ninja 250. Anybody actually made mods or installed aftermarket levers? What brand and part number?
Actually I do not have part numbers on your ride.
I use the cheap plastic '87 and '88 levers on my '90 zx7 and modify the fulcrum. Track use and I tend to fall down every once in a while.

I'm surprised they wouldn't have adjustable levers on the 250. They have them on the 500 (which is a good thing otherwise I'd be screwed!) I wonder if you'd be able to get something off the 500 and use it on the 250.....
The EX 500 levers work but you have to replace the perch as well. If I remember right you can bolt on the perches but have to cut off the old perches if you want to avoid having to remove other parts.
I have very small hands and wear childrens size gloves. I have not bothered with replacing the levers. I just made sure the clutch was adjusted properly and worked on strengethening my hands. I did get some hassle in MSF because I drop my index finger off the brake lever when I showed them I cant reach it with that finger they cut me some slack.

As mentioned by bb
I would have thought that the two would share some parts. Why my posting on the 88-90 zx7's earlier and swapping parts.
