Even if you do not have children of school age, this still impacts us all. Call your local schools or paste this email into a message to schools in your area and stop this before it even starts. If you think it sounds unlikely that this will progess, think about your life 8-10 years ago and honestly answer if you would have thought our politics would be where they are today. Being that I will remove my child from the public school system the second something like this occures, it's important to me to do what I can.

The New York Times reported today that 312 school districts in the U.S.A. are now teaching that ?the Bible was the foundation and blueprint for our Constitution, Declaration of Independence, our educational system, and our entire history until the last 20 to 30 years.? They also teach that NASA has proved that the earth stopped ? twice ? orbiting the sun, that ?the sun stood still,? just like it says in Joshua and II Kings.
While bragging about their takeover of Congress and the White House and demanding that U.S. Courts be packed with Right Wing believers in their narrow, selfish and authoritarian doctrines, extremist leaders of the Right are using public schools to indoctrinate America?s children. Their political and cultural assault on America is real.

What about a poposed rule that people graduating from those 312 school districts, not be eligible for gov't jobs or teaching positions.

 

OK, I have something to say about this..... doesn't everyone believe in some sort of God and or Goddess? No matter what God it is isn't it good to pray to them and teach our children some sort of structure? I am Wiccan and I married a Catholic and I found a priest who accepted me into his church with my beliefs. I wanted my children to be brought up with some enlightenment. And when they get older I will take them to the heartland and show them "like I did my husband, who has total respect" what I believe. Who Says what God we are praying to when we say "in God We Trust" And as far as the 10 commandments go don't we all follow them except for the first one. I believe that everyone should be able to believe in what they believe in and not be condemned for it. I feel like we are overseas since we became a "spiritual nation" everyone is going against eachother! Clinton didn't care about anyone but the one's who were PC. I am sorry but you cannot say that partial birth is the right thing to do unless you know that that child will have no life quality or the Mother will not survive. I am very sorry but, abortion should not be used for Birth control. It should be used for rape victims and quality of life issues. Do you really think that any God Or Goddess would want ANY child ripped from our loins just because it was inconvenient! I am sick and tired of people going against God because my God is the one I believe in and I am excepted in this country. Go to a different country and see how long YOU last. The reason why these people Hate us over there is because they think we are a bunch of money loving, **** making and animal screwing people and we have no respect for "A GOD OR GODDESS" they think we are bunch of derelicts and we are the most religious country in the world! So, please don't be as ignorant as these people, My mother was living in Vietnam during the war and she saw mother's sending their children up to soldiers with grenades in their hands just to destroy them. That is what they are doing over there because they hate us "because we believe in so many different things" If you think that is the way America should be than you should leave. And if you believe that this whole matter can be solved by PEACE??? Just think about my cousin in the army who was Just sitting there and got sniped by someone who thought he didn't believe and never met him in his life? And where the Hell are you sitting right now?????

There is too much hatred in the world today, to much dictating - there has to be a middle ground somewhere. But where?
