I'm having a little complication with understanding the helmet lock on my 250. It seems that if I lock my helmet on to the bike, it touches the pipes. Am I doing something wrong or does anyone else experience this same problem???

 

No you are not doing anything wrong, the helmet lock on the is known to be a hassle. Most people use an extra strap or anything to go through the eyes on the helmet and extend into the lock on the bike.

Sorry I do not have any pics that can explain it better but I am sure someone will have more info for you soon.

We all came up with some good ideas on that post. Take a look of what I came up with towards the bottom of the page. It doesn't quite take care of the hot exhaust issue, but it does a good job. (if you put down the passenger peg, sometimes you can get the helmet to balance on it.)

Sheesh.. all that to mount a helmet! Thanks for the information, I was wondering how the heck I was going to lock up my helmet without the exhaust burning it!!! I think I'll just carry it! : )
